Canton Dog Park vs. Locust Point Dog Park
A Dog Park Challenge!

The Canton Dog Park and the Locust Point Dog Park have challenged each other through the end of the year to increase support for both parks through a friendly competition, as we are the only legal areas in Baltimore City for dogs to run, play, and socialize off-leash. One of the features of the challenge will be the sale of t-shirts designed specifically for those who support either the Canton Dog Park or the Locust Point Dog Park. We are currently looking for sponsors. Your logo or company name will appear on our t-shirts. Click here for more information on becoming a sponsor for this challenge.

Canton Dog Park
Renovation Project Update

The FCDP have been working diligently over the last year to raise funds to renovate Canton Dog Park. Unfortunately, dog parks are not high priority for funds during these hard times. We are still going through the steps to get our Renovation Plans approved by the DPW and then the Planning Department. We will be working with Recreation and Parks to accomplish this by the summer. After that time we will have 2 years to complete the entire project. Phase 1 of the project will be to resurface the park. You can see those plans by clicking here.

What are we going to do while this process seems to be moving at a snail’s pace? Since all of you have helped to contribute money over the last year we are going to start to do the following:
• Plant trees to provide more shade in and around the park
• Put up a Pet memorial plaque
• Purchase new signs for the park with the new logo

What can you do to help?
• Come to monthly meetings and help with the planning
• Volunteer to help at fundraising events
• Continue to donate to the park
Thank you for your support!
